The first step is to contact the practice. You will receive information about current availability, fees, and next steps before scheduling a consultation.
Sessions are held virtually for individuals and couples located in New York and New Jersey.
A limited number of appointments are reserved for individuals using Aetna and for those who need a reduced fee.
When contacting the practice, please indicate whether you require an in-network appointment or a reduced fee. You will be informed whether an in-network or reduced-fee appointment is currently available before scheduling a consultation.
When an in-network appointment is not available, you may be able to use out-of-network benefits.
For out-of-network services, payment is made directly to the practice, and a superbill can be provided for possible reimbursement.
Because coverage varies by plan, you may wish to ask your insurance company:
Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met?
What percentage or amount will be reimbursed after the deductible is met?
Is prior authorization required?
How do I submit a superbill?
You may also wish to ask how your plan reimburses the following commonly used billing codes:
90791: Initial diagnostic evaluation
90834: Individual psychotherapy, 38–52 minutes
90837: Individual psychotherapy, 53 minutes or longer
90847: Family or couples psychotherapy with the patient present
Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan. Your insurance company can explain how your benefits apply to each service.
